Approximately a week back, Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, was labeled as a "wrecking ball" that could destabilize global climate talks. According to inside sources, Saudi delegates argued that penalizing the supply side does not address the real problem of plastic pollution. This argument formed the basis for their submissions to the negotiations.
